- The motor vessel BLEICHEN was built in 1958 by the Nobiskrug shipyard, Rendsburg, as a general cargo vessel for the Hamburg-based shipping company H. M. Gehrckens (HMG). She was sold to Italy in 1970 and resold to Turkey in 1979. Before she could be broken up, the Stiftung Hamburg Maritim (Hamburg Maritime Foundation) bought the ship (now named OLD LADY) in 2006 for 450,000 € and restored it elaborately. Since 2018 the BLEICHEN goes on trips with guests as a museum ship under her old name again or can be visited at her berth in Hamburg harbour. Signed.
