- The English twin screw passenger ship was built in 1902 by the Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast for the White Star Line in Liverpool. For a short period of time she was the world's biggest ship. Until the First World War the ship sailed the Atlantic route between Liverpool and New York in regular service. During the war she was used as an armed auxiliary cruiser and troop carrier. After the war the CEDRIC sailed the Atlantic route again as a passenger ship until 1931 and was scrapped in 1932 in Scotland. Technical data: length: 213,4 m long, width: 22,3 m wide, draught: 13,4 m, meassured 21,035 GRT, powered by 2 quadruple-expansion steam engines with a 16,000 hp in total, maximum speed 16 kn. 365 passengers could travel in the 1st class, 160 in the 2nd class, 2352 in the 3rd class, as well as 350 crew members. Signed and dated "P. Greenwood 1903".
